About the Museum: The Thomas Cole National Historic Site, also known as Cedar Grove, is a National Historic Landmark that includes the home and the studio of painter Thomas Cole, founder of the Hudson River School of American painting.
Pass Details: Two Adults (age 12 and up), plus any children (age 11 and under) are free. After you reserve a museum pass from this website, you must go to thomascole.org/visit to book a tour. Bring a printout (or a copy on your phone) of your emailed library pass and your confirmation of your registration on the Thomas Cole website to the museum.
Instructions for Recommended Timed-Entry Ticketing: On the Thomas Cole website, select Visit – Buy Tickets from the menu. Follow instructions for General Admission Tickets. You may book 2 “Members” and children for each library pass. (Tickets are not valid for group/school/private visits or special events and programs.) Arrive 15 minutes early to the Visitor Center to check in with a copy of your Library Pass reservation and your Thomas Cole booking, either printed or digital display on your mobile phone. (Please note: your library card is not a pass.) If you do not bring your member library pass with you, the museum will not be able to verify your reservation and you will need to purchase tickets. If you book Member Tickets for more people than the member library pass covers, you will need to purchase those extra tickets at check-in.
